Sadly after a short battle with illness the popular astrologer passed away on March 9, 2023, at the age of 80.

Was Mystic Meg married?

Mystic Meg never married and lived in Notting Hill, London, where aside from her focus on astrology she had a keen interest in animals.

She had seven cats living with her at her London residence and had a keen interest in horses.

When asked about her feline friends, she said that they found her and then moved in with her.

Meg did have one high-profile romance, with millionaire football pools heir Nigel Moores.

She believed that he was her destiny after reading in her own horoscope, aged seven, that she would marry a wealthy man.

But Nigel died aged 39 in a car crash in the south of France in 1977.

After Nigel died, Meg had a brief three-month fling with the editor of magazines Men Only and Club International, David Jones.

Meg did not have any children, which gave her time to focus on her love of animals.

Her love of astrology stemmed from her grandmother who was a Russian gypsy.

When she passed away, she left her the crystal ball she was so fixated on.

Margaret Anne Lake, was born in Accrington in Lancashire.

She was born on July 27, 1942.

Mystic Meg first hit our screens in 1994 when she started appear on the National Lottery show.

She started writing horoscopes for the News of the World and The Sun and became a mainstay of the publications.

The astrologer, famed for her daily horoscopes, gained cult status from her 23 years of writing them for The Sun.

Also often appearing on the BBC National Lottery show, she became a regular fixture on our screens as well as the daily newspapers.
