CHANNEL 4 has axed a popular comedy series that was fronted by a huge star.
The broadcaster has decided to say goodbye to Amanda Holden and her nan Myrtle, The Sun can reveal.
Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda, 52, appeared in the show alongside comedian Leigh Francis, known better as Keith Lemon.
Called The Holden Girls: Mandy and Myrtle, Keith, 49, played the role of Amanda's nan who is persuaded by her to move from Doncaster to London.
But Channel 4 bosses have decided the eight-part series will not get a second instalment.

An insider said: "The Holden Girls proved hilarious together and bosses loved working with Amanda and Keith.
"But they've decided to focus their attention on new comedy shows."
Following a chaotic settling-in period, it wasn't long before tempers frayed and Amanda was forced to choose between her husband and her awkward elder relative.
Myrtle met a number of famous faces including Good Morning Britain's Ben Shephard and GB News anchor Eamonn Holmes.
It transpired that despite her age, Myrtle Holden was very much young at heart and mischievous.
The documentary-style comedy series aired on E4 in 2021 and was popular with viewers, but not so much critics.
A spokesperson for Channel 4 declined to comment when contacted.
Amanda is due to return to TV screens very soon for the brand new series of Britain's Got Talent.
She'll appear once again beside Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and new judge Bruno Tonioli.
