ONE of the judges got incredibly emotional during a recent episode of the Great Pottery Throw Down.
The Channel 4 competition show returned for its sixth season on Sunday night, hosted by Siobhan McSweeney.
The show's judge, Keith Brymer Jones, ended up in tears after smashing multiple pottery efforts from a contestant.
Keith was joined by fellow judge Rich Miller, and the pair challenged the show's contestants to create some birthday tea sets as well as handle-less milk jugs.
One of the show's hopefuls, 36-year-old Christophe, struggled to get to grips with the clay.
Unhappy with what he'd made so far, Christophe said to Keith: "I don’t think I’ve ever thrown something that bad".
Keith then thumped his creation with his fist, before chucking it in the bin.
He told the contestant: "I think we’ll get rid of that one", before smashing another pottery piece, adding: "This is pants!"
Christophe told the judge: "I did just try my best."
The architect had also created two milk jugs, but wasn't completely happy with them.
Keith admitted he was "reluctant to throw those two away", before he started choking up.
He eventually continued: "I know what it’s like, you know.
"We’re asking you to do this thing under pressure, so that’s a tall order."
Christophe responded: "Yes, it’s completely new for me," to which Keith replied: "Well done, well done, Christophe because at least you give it a go."
Fans of the show rushed to Twitter to comment on how healthy it was seeing a man show his emotions.
One wrote: "Yes, it may just be a pot, but Keith crying on #potterythrowdown is such a positive thing for men everywhere."
They added: "He sets me off every time and I am so thankful for that."
Great Pottery Throw Down continues on Sunday at 7.45pm on Channel 4.
