It comes after the controversial comic's talk show New World Order was last week canned.
The 50-year-old immediately took to social media to break his silence following the axe.
He said: "Not surprising in the current climate, I suppose. Just very grateful to have had six series of working with the funniest people in the business."

Loyal fans won't have to wait long, with Frankie appearing on the Channel 4 hit tomorrow.
The barmy show stars Grag Davies and welcomes a host of celebrities competing in a string of whacky challenges.
Also making an appearance is Mae Martin, Jenny Eclair, Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Ivo Graham.
And when quizzed on why he's doing the show, the funnyman told Channel 4: "I’ve got nothing to lose.
"I didn’t quite grasp the show at first because they asked me to do it years ago.
"I was a bit like, 'This is just people trying to bake a cake only using their elbows? What the f**k is going on?'
"But then I started watching it like, 'Oh, right. It’s a kind of play about humility."
