Draymond Green’s back-to-back Golden State Warriors NBA Championship warning shot at rivals has been dismissed by NFL legend Shannon Sharpe.
The Warriors are the reigning NBA champions after defeating the Boston Celtics 4-2 last year. Green, 33, was a key cog to the Warriors’ success over the three prior Championship wins.
However, a sixth-placed regular season finish in the Western Conference has boosted the Warriors’ rivals’ hopes of NBA glory. Green and the Warriors have the worst record away from home as defending champions and have ageing stars who have struggled with injuries this season.
Despite that, Green has fired a warning shot at the Warrior’ rivals. “Don't let us win another f***ing championship!," Green wore on a shirt in the newest episode of the Draymond Green Show.
However, NFL legend and US sports pundit, Sharpe, has shot down Green’s Championship taunt. “I don’t think it's going to happen this year,” Sharpe said on Undisputed. “So I am going to speak for this year. I don’t know what is going to happen, Skip, next year, or the year after.

Sharpe continued: “So I don’t think we have to worry about that Draymond. Yes, I understand you got all your pieces back. You looked good, you played well. You blew out Portland. But they ain't winning the championship this year. If they do get out of the West, I don’t think they are going to beat Milwaukee.
"So, I don’t think we have to worry about that Draymond. I don’t know about any other year. I don’t think they are going to win it this year.”
The Golden State Warriors do not have an easy path out of the Western Conference. They take on the third seed Sacramento Kings on April 16. The Kings have two All-Stars in Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox.
The Warriors did, however, blow out the Portland Trail Blazers in the final game of the regular season. Stephen Curry, Green and Klay Thompson all looked fully fit and firing, and many fans won’t be counting the Warriors out just yet.
