THE Script's Mark Sheehan has died at the age of 46, the band confirmed on Friday evening.
The Dublin based rock group said Mark passed away after a short illness.
They said: "Much loved husband, father, brother, band mate and friend Mark Sheehan passed away today in hospital after a brief illness. The family and group ask fans to respect their privacy at this tragic time."

Mark Anthony Sheehan was born on October 29, 1976 in The Liberties in Dublin, Ireland.

Mark was the co-founder and lead guitarist of The Script.
