KATE Garraway has shared the incredible moment Elton John dedicated a song to her husband Derek Draper.
The Good Morning Britain star, 55, broke down in tears at the concert and has now explained that Derek was almost too unwell to attend after being in hospital again this week.

Derek, thought to be the UK’s worst-affected Covid survivor, and Kate travelled from their North London home to the O2 in East London with children Darcey, 17, and Billy, 13.
Sharing a video of Elton on stage, Kate told her followers: “So this was a moment. Finally found someone who had actually filmed it rather than just burst into joyous tears as we did!!!

“Yes Derek has been back in hospital this week & yes there’s such a long road ahead but #eltonjohn & @davidfurnish you gave the kids & Derek a moment that we will never forget and has lifted their spirits again to feel anything is possible.
“Thank you for your inspiring music and huge heart ❤.”
An emotional Kate continued: “Thank you too to everyone else who made the impossible possible. All the carers, the #rocketentertainment team , the gang @theo2london who work so hard to make concerts like this accessible & @addisonleecabs who worked hard to find suitable transport. We are bursting with gratitude xxx”
In the video Sir Elton, 76, told fans the couple had endured “really tough times” as he dedicated hit Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me to them.
He said: “They’re inspiring. They’ve never given up and I’m so thrilled they’re here, I can’t believe they are here.”
“I want to dedicate this song to the people I mentioned before, but especially to you guys.”
Kate previously revealed she played Sir Elton’s music to Derek in hospital.
She told GMB at the time: “Elton John contacted me. It was so strange.
"I was like, ‘Elton… John?’ We do have a mutual friend, which I didn’t know about. And because of all the work he does with the Aids Foundation he was like, ‘What can I do to help?
