On September 14, 2023, the network announced Jones as a regular host of Fox & Friends.

Jones said: "I really want to serve them, but also, that is like my compass. If the people back home can’t understand the content I’m putting out, then I’m really not serving the audience."
When did Jones fill in for Tucker Carlson?
Following Tucker Carlson's last network appearance on April 21, 2023, it was revealed Jones was temporarily taking over the former's weekday timeslot.
On Monday, May 1 of the same year, Jones took over hosting duties for the 8pm slot that was previously reserved for Carlson.
Seven years after Tucker Carlson Tonight debuted, he and Fox decided to part ways.
"We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor," the network said in an announcement.
An insider told Page Six: "Fox News is trying out a rotating list of anchors in Tucker’s spot.
"This week, it has been Fox & Friends' Brian Kilmeade — but it is significant that they have chosen Jones to step up so soon after Tucker’s departure."
