THIS is the awkward moment a TikTok train spotter bumped into Princess Kate and Prince William on the Elizabeth Line.

Kate, 41, and Wills, 40, used Oyster cards to get through the barriers at Acton Main Line, west London, into Tottenham Court Road, yesterday.

It was the royal couple's first journey on the £15bn London train line opened by the late Queen Elizabeth II just 12 months ago.

But as they took the newest train line they bumped into TikTok royalty - Francis Bourgeois.

The social media star, who films his reactions as trains go by, has amassed more than 2.9million followers.

And today he posted a very awkward clip showing him meeting the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The video begins with him strolling through Tottenham Court Road station before running to catch the next departing train.

Once he sits it shows the signature angle of his face - taken from a camera attached to his head - before the royals who are getting off the train come across him.

Kate is seen saying goodbye to Francis who then awkwardly stands up and shakes her and William’s hand.

Francis then says: “Hi umm, like, nice to meet you. Um I hope you enjoy the Elizabeth Line”.

William responds: “Yes, it’s been good. Have a nice day.”

TikTok users rushed to the comments to give their opinion on the awkward encounter.

One joked: “Will and Kate were so lucky to meet you!”

Another said: “Bro casually said ‘I hope you enjoy the Elizabeth Line’ to Elizabeth’s grandson.”

The royal pair had been riding the train to Soho, where they toasted the coronation with a pint of cider.

They sipped pints with punters in the Dog & Duck, one of many pubs expecting a bumper Bank Holiday weekend when revellers will celebrate the coronation.

Wills also lent a hand to hardworking bar staff pulling pints for punters thirsty for coronation weekend.

They also cheered up the thousands waiting outside in central London by sharing stories and posing for selfies with the crowd.

William, who will have a ceremonial role in the festivities, confessed to jitters when he greeted pub punters, saying outside:  “I will be drinking before and after the coronation!”

Wife Kate said she is looking forward to a stout performance at the bash, telling a fan: “I think I’ll celebrate with a few Guinnesses.”
