Step inside a hunting lodge that has been left abandoned like a time capsule complete with stuffed deer heads still mounted on the wall since it was abandoned just before the Covid outbreak.

Images show what was once a plantation and hunting lodge with bedrooms fit for multiple occupancy still made up with bed sheets, taxidermy deer heads on the walls and camo-covered seat cushions.

These images that look like a testament to a long-lost era of the American frontier were captured by urban explorer Leland Kent, known online as Abandoned Southeast in Georgia, USA.

"While riding along the backroads of Georgia, I came across this old, abandoned hunting lodge," said Leland.

"Some research suggests this house was originally a Southern plantation that was later used as a hunting lodge until its final days.

"After all, it would make sense since the home is surrounded by acres of wooded land that would most certainly be prime for hunting.

"There is no running water or electricity, and calendars indicate the last occupancy was in 2019.

"The house may be no longer in use due to a leaky roof and the presence of black mould in several rooms."
