Internal adverts seen by the Sun on Sunday say green-minded civil servants could “be an activist” in groups like serial road-blockers Extinction Rebellion.

It says: “Nobody’s asking you to glue yourself to anything, but individual change isn’t enough to influence the changes we need to make.”

The notice - circulated to all staff by the GLA’s Climate Action Group - sparked fury last night as ordinary Brits continue to pay the price of protesters’ disruption.

Civil servants are also encouraged to check their bank’s “green credentials” and jump ship if it funds fossil fuels, as well as eating more vegan meals.

They can attend “climate cafes” - described as a “non-intimidating space” for people to air their fears for the planet.

The GLA Climate Action Group says: “Scientists agree that we need to do much more talking about the climate crisis.

"And keeping silent can amplify feelings of anxiety and isolation.”

Meanwhile its “climate bootcamps” have invited controversial guest speakers including a talk from a Corbyn-supporting Extinction Rebellion member who backs controversial protest tactics.

Dr Charlie Gardner held a lecture on “how to take climate action” despite supporting nightmare locking-on tactics.

Conor Holohan from the TaxPayers’ Alliance said: “City Hall staff need to focus on delivering services, not eco-activism.”

A spokesperson for the Mayor of London said: “The Mayor is determined to build a safer, greener London for everyone and supports the democratic right to protest.

“He is clear that all forms of protest must be peaceful, lawful and safe and he does not in any way condone illegal behaviour.”
