Who is Brunette?

Elen Yeremyan, known professionally as Brunette, is an Armenian singer-songwriter who was born on May 27, 2001.

The talented star has been singing since the age of four, and hasn't stopped since.

The young vocalist has enjoyed chart success, with the singles Gisher, Smoke Break, and Bac Kapuyt Achqerd, generating massive streaming numbers in 2022.

But Brunette doesn’t always go it alone, as she's a member of girl group En Aghjiknery (ThoseGirlz), known for their smash hit Menq.

She can also be found performing with Project12, a live band based in Yerevan.

If that wasn't enough, Brunette is popular on social media, and you can follow her on Instagram @brunette_e_.

What is Brunette's Eurovision song?

Brunette will be performing her song Future Lover at Eurovision 2023.

The song was released in her home country on March 15, 2023.

She was selected to represent Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest by AMPTV (Public Television Company of Armenia) on January 25, 2023.

Has Armenia ever won Eurovision?

Armenia has yet to win the Eurovision Song Contest but has a strong record of qualifying for the Grand Final.

The country successfully hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 after Vladimir Arzumanyan won the previous year with his song Mama.

Also, in 2008, Armenia's Sirusho won the Marcel Bezençon Fan Award for her song Qélé, Qélé.

When did Armenia join Eurovision?

Armenia is considered an Asian country as it lies in the Caucasus - a region between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea.

However, the landlocked nation does border Europe and is very European in nature.

The country entered the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in 2006, with Andre's Without Your Love, placing 8th at the end of voting.

Armenia withdrew from the Song Contest in 2021 due to domestic issues that made participation impossible.

However, they rejoined again in time for 2023.
