NETFLIX actress Natasha Lyonne looked unrecognisable as she debuted a dramatic new hair makeover on a US talk show today.

The actress, 44, rose to fame thanks to her role as Nicky Nichols in the comedy-drama Orange is the New Black between 2013 and 2019.

Natasha ditched her usual locks for a brand new bright red look.

She trimmed the length as she had Netflix fans doing a double take as to whether it was in fact her.

Natasha showed off her stunning new look on US daytime programme Live with Kelly and Mark.

She wore a colourful knitted two-piece outfit as she stopped by the New York studios as she chatted about her latest series, Poker Face, currently airing on Sky.

As well as being remembered for her stint as the wildly popular Nicky Nichols, it isn't the only Netflix role the star has undertaken.

Natasha has also become known to audiences for playing Nadia Vulvokov in the series, Russian Doll.

She joined the programme when it launched in 2019 and has remained with the comedy-drama ever since.

Honouring her acting achievements, this year Natasha was named as one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people in the world.
