A seemingly normal home has hit the market for $1.6 million — but it has a very wacky interior.

The 4,884 sqft property boasts five bedrooms and five bathrooms, and with a large garden and driveway.

The house appears to be a regular family home from the outside but the interior has been branded as a “headache” by house hunters thanks to its daring décor.

While many modern homes have a minimalist feel to them, this is the exact opposite because the entire property has been decorated with clashing patterns, fur, eccentric artwork, and chandeliers.

The dining room features a bizarre range of seats around a table with AstroTurf on it, and it also has an archway which exposes the living room that has also been filled with a maximalist interior.

Meanwhile, the living room also offers multiple seating options, with eccentric cushions and fur throws - and the grey shaggy rug appears to clash with the chrome decorations.

In the kitchen, there is a hound-tooth patterned backsplash as well as neon pieces of art.

It was clear the previous owner also had a sweet tooth, as they kept giant sweet dispensers on the kitchen counter, as well as large art pieces of melting lollipops.

The bedrooms seem to not provide a safe place to relax, as they feature strange four-poster beds that clash with the back and silver patterned walls.

Upstairs, there is a study room - however, the ceiling has been covered in paint making it difficult to concentrate.

One of the most disturbing rooms potential buyers have found is the hallway, which has been plastered with honey-comb patterned wallpapers.

House hunters have been left in stitches at the property in Edmond, Oklahoma, US.

However, they have praised the back garden, which has a swimming pool for being 'the only normal part of the entire property.'

Kathy Smith Barry said: “The only place I could possibly relax is the pool.”

Jill Tweedy said: ”I'll live in the garage and take the pool.”

”I am feeling extreme anxiety from pattern overload,” said Rita Masters.

Perry Woodby said: “It's nice but I think I'd have a continuous headache from the wild paint wallpaper.

”There is so much going on that my eyes don’t even know where to look,” said Jasper Miller.

However, one house hunter, Nakisha Brewer, didn’t seem to mind the decor.

She said: “This looks so fun, I love it.”

The house is being sold by Zillow real estate for $1.59 million (£1.26 million).

The home also comes with three attached garage spaces and was built in 2013.

Nestled in a private cul-de-sac, the mansion boasts views of the nearby golf course in the Rose Creek gated community.

Rose Creek say they offer homeowners various perks for living in the neighbourhood including a gym, community pool, Top Ranked Clubhouse, as well as access to Neighborhood Provisions for dining.

Despite the impressive area and sheer size of the mansion, across 0.46 acres, some homeowners are still not sure of it's interior.

The property was last sold in 2019 for $1.3million and now sellers are asking buyers to splash out around $1.6million but say they are open to nearest offers.

The first-floor contains an en-suite, walk-in closet and adjoining safe room which provides added security.

It also offers two large guest rooms with en-suites and a study just off the living room.

Up the stairs potential buyers can discover a theatre room with adjoining game room, a wet bat and a balcony.

Meanwhile, the garden offers a large outdoor dining area fitted with a TV and chandeliers.

A trail runs to a fire pit and sitting area and to the back of the mansion, which overlooks the Rose Creek Golf Course and the heated pool.
