Singer Michelle Heaton is taking on Dancing On Ice after turning her life around.

The star shot to fame in 2000 when she appeared on ITV's Popstars and becoming part of the group Liberty X.

She has spoken about how Jessica Taylor, a member of the group and previous DOI contestant in 2009, has been giving her tips and advice ahead of the show.

Sadly, in 2021 she bravely revealed her secret struggle with drugs and alcohol.

But after getting healthy, Michelle is now taking on Dancing On Ice.

Revealing the news to ITV's Lorraine, Michelle said: "I’m so excited - I can’t believe it.

"Me and the kids are such huge fans of the show in general.

"I’ve always wanted to do it but I know I would never have been able to complete anything because of the way I was 18 months ago.

"So I’m really truly grateful that I’ve got it this year when I’m a lot stronger.”

West End star Carley Stenson is getting her skates on for Dancing On Ice.

The actress shot to fame when she was on Hollyoaks in the early noughties.

Since then, Carley has swapped the screen for the stage and has appeared in big theatre shows, including Legally Blonde and Shrek: The Musical.

But speaking about signing up for DOI, Carley told ITV: "I'm so excited that I get to learn how to dance…on ice!

"I'm terrified but can’t wait - I just want to make the most of this whole experience."

Darren Harriott

Comedian Darren Harriott has joined the star Dancing On Ice line-up.

The funnyman is best known for his work on panel shows such as Mock the Week and 8 out of 10 Cats.

Revealing his DOI news to Trisha Goddard on Talk TV, Darren said: “I’ve got giant feet, I don't skate and I can't dance!

"My family has already made bets - they’re making bets that I’ll fall on the first episode!”

Joey Essex is set to take part in the 2023 series of Dancing On Ice.

The former Towie star appeared on ITV's This Morning where he revealed the news.

Joey said: "I would love to win. I’m going to put all my energy into this.

"This stage in my life, I’m so ready for this."

Having appeared in I'm a Celebrity....Get Me Out of Here, Essex is no stranger to reality TV competition.

The Vivienne

British drag queen The Vivienne is taking part in Dancing On Ice 2023.

She shot to fame when she won the very first season of RuPaul's Drag Race UK back in 2019.

Revealing her DOI news on social media, The Vivienne said: “I'm beyond excited to announce that I will be competing in Dancing on Ice in 2023!

"This is honestly a dream come true and I can't wait to start training on the ice.

"To be the first drag artist to take part in one of the big UK reality competition shows is truly an honour.

"I think it's a big step forward for queer representation on TV.”

Mollie Gallagher

Swapping the Rovers for the rink is Coronation Street actress Mollie Gallagher.

She is best known for playing Nina Lucas in Corrie.

Speaking to ITV's Lorraine about joining DOI, Mollie said: “I’m really excited. I’ve not really felt nervous yet, strangely. But being here today, I am now feeling it a little bit!” 

On seeking advice from her Coronation Street co-stars, Mollie said: “I’ll be getting all the tips I can because I’m going to need it!” 

Exchanging the cobbles for ice will no doubt be a test for the actress but one she is geared up for.

Nile Wilson

Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson is getting his skates on for Dancing On Ice.

Revealing the news on his YouTube channel, he said: “I'm going to be on ITV's Dancing On Ice! This is a really cool thing.

"I've certainly not done much ice-skating but I am so excited for the opportunity.

"I’m so excited to get into that routine and to feel like an athlete again.”

On what he hopes to bring to the ice, Nile said: “My biggest goal on the show is to do something that no-one has ever done before."

Nile retired from gymnastics on January 14, 2021, after claiming a brilliant bronze on the parallel bars at Rio 2016.

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu

Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu is ditching her bikini for a sequin costume and a pair of ice skates, to take part in Dancing On Ice.

The Turkish delight told Good Morning Britain viewers that she can't wait to strap on her skates and perform on the hit ITV show.

Ekin's announcement comes after her boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti exclusively told us that he turned down a place on the show because he is too busy.

Since leaving the famous villa, Ekin has become much in demand, and has even landed her own reality show with Davide.

Football legend John Fashanu is getting his skates on to take part in Dancing On Ice 2023. 

Throughout his footballing career as a centre forward, which spanned from 1978 until 1995, John was part of a Wimbledon team who were known as "the crazy gang" back in the day.

John presented Gladiators, so is no stranger to weekend evenings on ITV and he’s had a go at reality TV before – appearing on I’m A Celebrity and Celebrity SAS in the past.

Speaking about signing up for the series, John said: “I'm so excited to be a part of Dancing On Ice.

"I don't think it'll come as a surprise to people that I'm very competitive - I am definitely in it to win it.

"And this may be one of the scariest things I've ever signed up for but I couldn't be more ready for the challenge!"

Patsy Palmer

Actress and DJ Patsy Palmer was the first celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the new series of Dancing On Ice. 

The star shot to fame on EastEnders in the 90s, playing Bianca Jackson.

Speaking on This Morning about taking part in DOI, Patsy said: “I wanted to challenge myself and get out of my comfort zone.

"I thought ‘I’ll just go for it’ and it seems like a lot of fun.”

She added: “My pact that I made with myself when I was 50 was I have to do things to challenge myself for the next couple of years.

"This is for all the 50 year-olds out there that think they can’t challenge themselves!”

Who are the judges on Dancing On Ice?

Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean are back for another year as head judges.

The pair won gold at the 1984 Winter Olympic Games where they made history after receiving 12 perfect 6.0 scores watched by 24 million people in the UK.

Ahead of the 40th anniversary of their infamous Bolero routine, Torvill and Dean will again be critiquing the celebs efforts on the ice.

Since 2006, the pair have starred on Dancing On Ice where they recreate versions of their iconic routine for every final of the series.

Torvill and Dean are joined by returning judges Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo.

Oti shot to fame as a pro dancer in Strictly, while Ashley is best known for leading the dance troupe Diversity.

Who are the hosts of Dancing On Ice?

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will once again return to host the popular show.

The pair have hosted the show together from 2006, although Christine Lampard joined Phil from 2012 to 2014.

Away from Dancing On Ice, Holly and Phil are best known for hosting This Morning every day.

Their on-screen chemistry is there for all to be seen and has made them a fans' favourite on the ITV show.
