Best weapons for Ganyu in Genshin Impact
Ganyu’s power relies on her powerful charged attacks that deal Cryo damage to the whole area.
Chespin is the target of 2023’s first community day in Pokémon GoElemental reactions are needed to maximise her damage output, so she works best on teams that focus on melting or freezing.
The Ibis Piercer is a new weapon that has been introduced as part of the Genius Invokation event.
It has Attack% as its main attribute and comes with Secret Wisdom’s Favor as its passive ability, which increases the wearer’s Elemental Mastery.
Another one of her best weapons is the five-star Amos’ Bow, which increases attack and the damage of both standard and charged attacks by 40%.
Alternatively, the five-star bow Hunter’s Path increases damage from all elements by 12% and can increase the damage of charged shots by up to 160% based on your elemental mastery.
In theory, it can do more damage than Amos’ Bow, but you need to ensure you have the right stats on your artifacts.
Other strong weapons for Ganyu are:
- Aqua Simulacra (five-star bow) – increases critical damage, HP, and attack.
- Skyward Harp (five-star bow) – increases critical hit rate and critical damage. Also deals bonus physical damage.
- Prototype Crescent (four-star bow) – increases attack, and increases speed and attack when hitting against weak points with charged attacks. A good free-to-play option.
- Hamayumi (four-star bow) – increases attack, especially when fully charged with energy. A good free-to-play option.

The artifacts you choose will depend on whether you want to use Ganyu in a melting or a freezing team.
In a melting team, Ganyu is best with a full set of Shimenawa’s Reminiscence.
Two pieces will increase attack by 18%, and four pieces will change elemental energy into a 50% damage bonus for standard and charged attacks.
Genshin Impact Dori: Best weapons, artifacts, and teamsWanderer’s Troupe is another good set for Ganyu. Two pieces increases elemental mastery and four pieces increases the damage of charged shots.

Best teams for Ganyu in Genshin Impact Ganyu
A strong melting team for Ganyu could be:
- Ganyu (Main DPS), Xiangling (Sub DPS), Kazuha (Support), Bennett (Support).
Here Ganyu uses her charged attack and elemental burst to deal damage and produce Cryo effects.
Xiangling provides the Pyro power for melting reactions dealing huge damage. Kazuha will group enemies together and reduce their resistances making enemies take more damage.
Bennett will help keep Ganyu alive and add extra Pyro effects.
In contrast, a freezing team with Ganyu might look like:
- Ganyu (Main DPS), Kokomi (Sub DPS/support), Mona (Support), Kazuha (Support).
Here Mona will contribute the necessary Hydro damage for Ganyu to then freeze.
Kokomi takes on multiple roles. She heals the team, provides Hydro power, and provides extra damage with her elemental burst.
Kazuha takes on the same role as in the melting team, meaning that the enemy takes more damage.
