TRIBUTES have today poured in for a popular Sky News and ITN presenter after his tragic death aged just 56.
Rae Stewart has been remembered as a "brilliant" journalist after his death following an "illness".

The experienced presenter had been a reporter for more than 20 years, previously working as a journalist for ITN, Sky News and GMTV.
He worked as head of comms for the Iraq Inquiry, and as Nick Clegg's press secretary.
Journalist and broadcaster Stephen Jardine wrote a tribute for Stewart, saying: "My best friend Rae Stewart has died after an illness. He was just 56.

"Rae was a proud son of Tain and a brilliant journalist, author, husband, father and friend.
"All my thoughts today are with him and his beloved family."
And Mike Edwards OBE tweeted: "Desperately sad to learn of the passing of Rae Stewart - a friend, colleague and fellow Highlander. A cracking lad taken far too soon."
Colleague Gabriel Milland, who previously worked at No 10, said: "Extremely sad news about Rae Stewart.
"A friend and colleague in the parliamentary press gallery and then in Whitehall. The driest of wits."
Stewart had published a novel, The Vibe, in 2017.
He took early retirement in 2022 due to ill-health.
