The latest instalment in the Indiana Jones film series has just been released, with Harrison Ford having reprised his role as the beloved archaeologist for another adventure.

The actor, 80, first played as Dr. Henry 'Indiana' Jones Jr. in Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and went on to appear as him in the Temple of Doom (1984) and the Last Crusade (1989).

He later returned in the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) and has reprised the role for what's believed to be the final time in the newly-released film the Dial of Destiny (2023).

Over the course of the series, he's worked alongside a host of other actors, some of whom have returned for the latest instalment in the franchise, which was released last week.

Some characters have been love interests to the title character, who's had a long-running romance as well as more fleeting connections with others in the series.

Karen Allen, now 71, has played Indiana's partner Marion Ravenwood since being introduced in Raiders of the Lost Ark. She has reprised the role in two sequels since then.

Marion returned in the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, in which she rekindled her romance with Indy, whom she ended up marrying, and more recently in the Dial of Destiny.

Over the years, Karen has appeared in other films like Scrooged (1988), Malcolm X (1992) and Things Heard & Seen (2021). She's also done theatre work, including on Broadway.

Karen - who studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City - runs Karen Allen Fiber Arts, which has a clothing store and a design studio in Massachusetts.

She was married to actor Kale Browne for a decade from 1988. The former couple are parents to Nicholas Browne, 33, who's believed to have pursued a career as a chef.

The actor later appeared in films like Black Rain (1989) and Just Cause (1995), before seemingly retiring from acting. She's believed to have not acted since a few films in 2001.

She is said to have begun studying art in 2009. Kate reportedly later decided to use portraiture to bring awareness to issues such as youth homelessness.

Three paintings led to her being a finalist in the prestigious Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition in 2019, through the Smithsonian Institution's National Portrait Gallery.

Her work, such as the Unaccompanied collection, is understood to have been on display over recent years, including Kate having her first solo exhibition at Columbus State University earlier this year.

Kate has been married to Steven Spielberg, 76, since 1991. They are believed to have met through Indiana Jones, as he directed the first four instalments in the film series.

The couple have five children together and their family also includes their respective children from previous relationships, such as her daughter, Jessica Capshaw, 46.

Alison Doody

Alison Doody, now 56, had already played the villainous Jenny Flex in the James Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) by the time she made her appearance in the Temple of Doom.

She played archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider in the film, with the character considered a 'femme fatale'. She was a love interest for Indy and was said to have also slept with his father Henry Jones Sr (played by the late Sean Connery).

The actor was later in films such as A Prayer for the Dying (1987), Major League II (1994) and King Solomon's Mines (2004). And she's continued to act in films like RRR (2022).

Alison's credits also include a few roles in TV shows like Waking the Dead in 2007 and later in Beaver Falls from 2011 to 2012. The latter appears to have been her last TV role.

Like other actors who have been in the Indiana Jones film series, Alison has continued to celebrate her involvement in the franchise in recent years by attenting fan conventions.

This included her being at the MCM Comic Con in London earlier this year, alongside former co-star Julian Glover, 88, who played villain Walter Donovan in the Last Crusade.

Alison was married to business executive Gavin O'Reilly, 56, from 1994 until their divorce around a decade later. They share two daughters from their decade-long marriage.
