RANVIR Singh has revealed her shock after almost falling for a scam in a shocking encounter.
The Good Morning Britain star shared her horror with her Instagram followers after she received a fraudulent email from somebody pretending to be the TV licensing company.

She went onto reveal the rest of the email which looked entirely convincing but she soon stopped in her tracks when she noticed something was amiss.
The 45 year old star revealed that the actual email address it had come from was a fraudulent one as it bared no resemblance whatsoever to the official TV licensing company.

Explaining how she uncovered the deceit, she revealed she was currently in the process of regarding a series of reports on online scammers which helped her to pick up on the signs.
She wrote online: “I almost clicked to pay this just now but I’m currently doing a scams programme for @itvtonight and something didn’t feel right. The ‘urgent’ bit felt a bit over the top”
Ranvir added: “So I clicked on the sender’s email name to see the email address .. and it’s this .. I was seconds away from paying into this scam."
It was thanks to her subject knowledge in the area that she was able to quickly pick up on the scam.
