The British Grand Prix is upon us as the Silverstone Circuit hosts the iconic Formula 1 event as teams and drivers preparations gather pace ahead of the weekend's action.

Drivers Championship leader Max Verstappen will be looking to secure his first win at Silverstone while eight-time winner Lewis Hamilton will be looking to secure Mercedes first win of the season on his home course. The Brit is almost out of contention for the championship again this season unless he somehow turns round a 123-point deficit on his Dutch counterpart with the Red Bull driver on 229 points.

Bookies Betfred have priced Verstappen as the 1/3 favourite while last year's winner Carlos Sainz is 25/1 to become the first Spaniard ever to retain the British Grand Prix while Lewis Hamilton is priced at 12/1 to achieve some British success.

His team, Red Bull, have not won a race here since 2012 when Mark Webber crossed the finishing line first and since then it has been either a Mercedes or Ferrari car to win this race. Christian Horner's team are 2/11 to be the team to win this race while Verstappen teammate Sergio Perez is 15/2 to win his third race of the season as Red Bull look to maintain their 100% record in the 2023 season.
