A WOMAN was left screaming in pain after deciding to dip her hand into a boiling hot spring at one of America's most celebrated tourist destinations.
The "moron" tourist looked deeply regretful after ignoring warnings and pushing her hand into the steaming 80C water at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.
The unidentified father-daughter duo crossed the safety barrier to take a closer look at the Silex Spring in the Fountain Point Pot area of the park.
The cameraman, Gary Mackenzie, said he warned the pair it was a "bad idea", but the father shot back with "Whatever, man".
"So I hit record," Mackenzie said.

In the shocking video, the woman seems to be testing just how hot the hot spring is as she edges closer to the smoking water.
A female onlooker can be heard telling the woman she will "regret" her decision, but she remains undeterred in her mission.
The lady then dips her hands into the startlingly blue water and suddenly recoils and runs away as she shouts "It's hot! It's very hot."
The springs in that area of the national park reach the scorching temperatures of around 80 degrees Celsius.
Crying and screaming in pain - and likely suffering from serious burns - the woman finally returns to the group.
Mackenzie explained: "I would have called these people in but couldn’t find a ranger or service."
The video was posted on the Instagram account @TouronsofYellowstone, which helpfully explains that: "Tourist + Moron = Touron!!"
Online users were quick to slam the duo's seemingly reckless actions at the park.
One joked: "We generally need less safety measures in place so that we can fully benefit from the survival of the fittest system that has always existed."
Another replied: “It’s hot!” If only there was a sign telling them that! Since the steam and boiling water wasn’t enough."

Others suggested that the pair should get a "lifetime ban" from US National Parks.
"I wish people understood that it’s not just about the risk their making of their own lives, but they’re also interfering with a delicate ecosystem," one said.
"You’re not mature enough to vacation in places like this. Just go to Vegas or something."
In 2016, a tourist was boiled alive in another steaming hot spring filled with acid in Yellowstone.
Colin Nathaniel Scott, 23, fell into the 93C Norris Geyers Basin at the national park after he stepped away from a viewing platform with his sister.
Elsewhere, a family of three including a child, died after falling into a steaming volcanic crater in Italy in 2017.
The horror accident occurred when a 11-year-old boy tumbled into the Solfatara Crater at Pozzuoli near Naples.
His parents were both killed as they desperately tried to save him from the scalding mud.
