A woman who died in a suspected murder-suicide had left her husband for a new boyfriend, neighbours have claimed.
Married couple Rosie and Robert Jobson were found dead at White Lodge Shooting School in Lincolnshire on Friday afternoon. Wife Rose is believed to have been shot by Robert, who neighbours claimed was angry and jealous when she said she had met another lover.
The couple were shooting experts who had represented England in numerous competitions and were found dead at their home in the grounds of the shooting range they run.
Police launched a murder investigation, adding that they are not seeking any other suspects into the deaths.
Rose, 69, who was 15 years younger that her husband, 84, is understood to have separated from him after falling in love with a man she had met at her shooting school.
Man who 'killed 4 students' was 'creepy' regular at brewery and 'harassed women'Neighbours have reacted in shock, while alleging it was well known in the community that the couple had split just weeks before they were found dead.
Andrew Farrow senior, next door neighbour, told the Mail: "It is very sad. We heard a couple of weeks ago that the couple had split up and the Rose had a new partner.
"Robert was not happy with the new relationship and we don't believe it was an amicable situation."
It's believed Rose was still living at the house, while Robert had moved in with a friend in a nearby village.
"It was no secret locally that she had a new partner who she had met at the shooting school," Mr Farrow added. "There was a village gathering at the weekend and that was being said. We are all shocked and saddened. It is a tragedy."
Mr Farrow also said he had previously taken shooting lessons with Robert, who he describes as "jealous".
Police were called to the premises - eight miles from the Humber Bridge - at around 3.40pm on Friday following "reports of concern for safety".
A Humberside Police spokesperson said today: "A man and woman who were found deceased at a property on College Road, in Thornton Curtis on Friday 14 July have been named by their families as Robert Jobson, aged 84, and Rose Jobson, aged 69.
"We were called to reports of concern for safety at around 3.40pm and upon arrival, the bodies of a man and a woman were discovered at the property.
"Paramedics attended the scene, but both the man and the woman were pronounced deceased at the scene."
