Sinead's death sparked a global outpouring of grief, with vigils taking place across Ireland and in the UK.

And family, friends and fans will now have an opportunity to pay their final respects to the beloved Irish singer this week.

On Tuesday 08 August morning from 10.30am her funeral cortege will progress along the seafront in Bray.

The procession will move past the home that Sinead lived in for 15 years on Montobello, Strand Road in Bray, Co Wicklow.

The route will begin at the Harbour Bar end of Strand Road and continue along the seafront to the other end of Strand Road. Sinead and her family continue on to a private burial.

In a statement confirming the funeral details today, Sinead's family told how the singer "loved" living in Bray and being surrounded by the people in it.

They said: "With this procession, her family would like to acknowledge the outpouring of love for her from the people of Co. Wicklow and beyond, since she left last week, to go to another place.

"Slán leat -  Me a go - 'Ma'a salama."

The Gardai have asked that people gather, if they would like to say a last goodbye to Sinéad from 10.30am on Tuesday morning along the Bray Seafront.

The London Inner South Coroners' Court has confirmed an autopsy has been completed on the singer's remains to secure a "medical cause of death".

But the results may not be available for "some weeks", a statement said.

Court chiefs said the results will be publicly disclosed if an inquest is opened into Nothing Compares 2 U star Sinead's death.

Met Police last week said the legendary singer's death, just weeks after she'd moved to the UK, was not being treated as suspicious.

Cops said: "Police were called at 11:18hrs on Wednesday, 26 July to reports of an unresponsive woman at a residential address in the SE24 area.

"Officers attended. A 56-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Next of kin have been notified. The death is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be prepared for the Coroner."

No medical cause was given for her death, London Inner South Coroner's Court said last week.

PALS 'BLINDSIDED'

Pals previously told how they were "blindsided" by her sudden passing at home.

Sinead had excitedly shown off her new flat in a video message to fans at the start of July, and had been planning the release of her new album and a tour in 2024.

Her family last week said they were "devastated" at the death of their "beloved Sinead".

Sinead is survived by three children - Jake, Roisin and Yeshua.

In January 2022, she announced that her 17 year-old son Shane had died.

In Sinead's final video message, she told how she was struggling with Shane's loss.

She said: "I think we're in HD, I look like s*** either way, which is why I didn't want to make a video but you know the way your kid unfortunately passing away isn't good for one's body or soul to be fair.

"But anyway look, let's not dwell on bad. Anyway, hi guys. Let's see can I flip the camera around there, there's a bunch of flowers my friend gave me today in my nice flat.

"There's my new Martin Johnny f*****g Cash guitar I am going to write some tunes on and yeah that's all I can show you because the place is a s***hole but there you go, it's this crazy witch."
