BBC Breakfast started broadcasting on BBC One as per usual as the presenting pair woke viewers up with a mix of news and light conversation.
The show usually airs on the channel from 6am until 9:15am, however the programme was later pulled from the main channel to make way for coverage of the Women's World Cup 2023.

Jon, 53, then took to social media with a behind the scenes snap to further publicise the move to make it easier for viewers to find him on air.
He tweeted: "We’ve moved over to #BBCTWO - making way for the #WWC football on @BBCOne - but we’ll still have updates on the Lionesses (and much more) on #BBCBreakfast."
And it seems that fans of the show were not happy with auntie beeb's latest scheduling move.
One regular viewer fumed: "I will never understand why the BBC does this - as if people still have analogue TVs from the 1960s ????????."
Whilst another exclaimed: "But why? What’s the issue with a) either breakfast starting on BBC 2 or b) The football being on 2?"
And a third keen fan added: "They can't show Regional news on bbc 2."
