He told his followers: “A big day for me today as I enter my (gulp) sixties, but the amazing things that are happening at my pub renovation in Wales, and the effects it is having on young people and the community, is completely overshadowing the fact I’m now eligible 4 a Seniors railcard.”

Martin’s fan rushed to wish him well and comment on how great he looks, with one person writing: “Happy 60th birthday Martin. You look amazing. Have the best day.”

A second said: “Happy birthday! 60?! You look younger than that. You might be quizzed on the train with your railcard so take some ID.”

While a third added: “You look younger than 60 mate, must be the Welsh water you are drinking. Have a great day.”

Earlier this year it was revealed the property expert has put half a million pounds of his own money in his most worrying project to date – the Hendrewen Hotel in Blaencwm at the top of the Rhondda Fawr valley.

He revealed he kept it from his wife Kirsty so she couldn't talk him out it.

It comes following his shocking near-death experience last year that left him with "hours to live" due to heart problems.

Thankfully Martin had a life-saving op after developing heart pain when his pericardium - the fluid-filled sack that protects the organ - expanded.

Martin is best known for co-hosting the long-running BBC show Homes Under The Hammer alongside Lucy Alexander since 2003, which follows people as they transform homes they buy at auction.

Martin has also presented shows such as Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is and How to Survive the Property Crisis.

In 2016, Martin appeared on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.
