Jamie Foxx has been seen playing pickleball as he continues to recover from his "medical complication" that was announced earlier this year.

Days after the actor, 55, was embroiled in anti-Semitism controversy, Jamie has put on a brave face while playing pickleball with some pals. Jamie teamed up with Ryan Sherry with the duo up against Taylor Chien and Olympic volleyball player Casey Patterson.

For those not in the know, pickleball is a racket or paddle sport, which originates from America. The sport sees two or four players hit a perforated, hollow plastic ball with paddles over a 34-inch-high net until one side is unable to return the ball or commits an infraction. It can be played indoors or outdoors, but Jamie and his pals clearly opted for the fresh air option.

Casey shared some snaps and clips from the match, with Jamie getting the ball over the net. The Olympian penned: "That Jamie Foxx spin will get ya." He then shared another video from a different angle and wrote: "For all the haters in the comments who say @iamjamiefoxx didn’t hit the ball." Jamie could be heard saying: "I got dead balls out here! Dead balls!"

According to reports, Jamie is a big fan of pickleball, with him even owning a company that makes paddles. The company is called The Best Paddle, and the most recent releases of their paddles retail at a hefty $149.99 (£118).

Last Friday, Jamie shared a snap on Instagram which read: "They killed this dude named Jesus … What do you think they’ll do to you?!" Some fans were quick to deem the post as "anti-Semitic" - including Jennifer Aniston who seemingly "liked" the post before denying she did.

Following the backlash, Jamie issued an apology. The They Cloned Tyrone star penned a touching statement which read: "I want to apologise to the Jewish community and everyone who was offended by my post."

He went on: "I now know my choice of words have caused offense and I am sorry. That was never my intent. To clarify, I was betrayed by a fake friend and that’s what I meant with ‘they’ not anything more. I only have love in my heart for everyone."

Jamie concluded his post by signing off with: "I love and support the Jewish community. My deepest apologies to anyone who was offended. Nothing but love always."

Back in April it was revealed that the esteemed actor had experienced a "medical complication", with it soon emerging that he had been hospitalised for the unknown cause of his health scare. Jamie's family then revealed in May that he was no longer in hospital. Jamie has since shared a video where he addresses his health woes and clears up any speculation.
