Rachel, 48, presented alongside Jon Kay from Monday to Wednesday, before it was time for Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt to take over today.

However, when BBC Breakfast viewers tuned in from 6am this morning, Charlie, 60, was nowhere to be seen.

Instead, alongside Naga was Roger Johnson, who has been a guest host on the programme on a number of occasions before.

Viewers were delighted to see Roger on the red sofa, with one tweeting: "Good Sunny Thursday morning Naga & Roger. Lovely to see you during the week Roger.

"Thank you as usual for bringing us the news, current affairs, sport & weather early in the morning on the only quality morning show #BBCBreakfast Love the Beeb."

Meanwhile on yesterday's show, Jon, 53, was left blushing after Rachel urged him to "strip off."

The presenting pair announced that Coronation Street star Ellie Leach was the latest celebrity to join this year's Strictly Come Dancing cast.

Rachel commented to Jon: "I'd love it if you stood up and just ripped off your clothes and there was a sequin outfit underneath."

Jon was left stunned before turning to the camera: "I can't tell you anything".
