Lacey Turner is known for playing fiery Stacey Slater in EastEnders, a role she has held for nearly 20 years in the BBC soap.
But off-screen, the 35-year-old actress has been married to barber shop owner husband Matt Kay since 2017 and the pair share two adorable children, daughter Dusty – who recently turned four – and two-year-old son Trilby.
The family live in a beautiful house in Hertfordshire and giving fans a glimpse of their fancy home on Instagram, Lacey revealed she has quite eclectic taste when it comes to her choice of home decor. Her living room features leopard print around the TV and fireplace – which some fans commented seemed to be a nod to her on-screen cousin Kat Slater, who is known on EastEnders for her leopard print outfits.
There are also boho touches everywhere, from the wall hangings and 70s-style peacock wicker chair to throws and cushions in the huge outdoor seating area that is perfect in summer. Lacey also seems to be a fan of a faux fur throw and they can be spotted all around her house from the communal areas to her bedroom, which has a huge grey headboard and what looks like a TV that comes out of the ottoman at the end of the bed.
Elsewhere in the house, there is a luxury freestanding bath in the bathroom and chic open plan kitchen with marble island, chunky wooden table and colourful chandelier hanging above. She is also a fan of a vintage sideboard and has one in her house she bought for just £5 and up-cycled herself. It now looks stunning and has different patterns across each of the doors.
EastEnders shock as child is revealed to be pregnant in New Year’s Day episodeWhen it comes to the kids’ rooms, Lacey has bravely opted for a mainly white colour scheme, with pops of colour to keep it interesting. And daughter Dusty even has her own wheels, in the form of a white toy car she can ride in she got for one of her birthdays.
And at Christmas time, Lacey loves to go all out. As well as a huge real Christmas tree, she went to town and had two life-sized nutcrackers as decorations on either side, plus three gold stars at the front, presumably to keep the kids at bay.
But house-proud Lacey has revealed the one thing she absolutely can’t live without. She confessed to OK! magazine: “I can’t live without my hoover. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love to hoover. I hoover every morning and every afternoon, so this is probably the most important thing in my house!”
