LeBron James is said to be feeling optimistic ahead of his son being released from hospital after he suffered a cardiac arrest.
Bronny James, 18, was rushed to hospital after he collapsed while practicing at the University of Southern California (USC) ahead of his first season in college basketball. The teenager is said to be in a stable condition and out of the Intensive Care Unit, with further tests ongoing to find the reason for the cardiac arrest.
With Bronny only in ICU for a short amount of time, TMZ has reported that the NBA legend is 'anxious' but 'optimistic' about the situation.
It has been reported that Bronny's condition continues to improve after the terrifying incident. But both LeBron and wife Savannah are in a calmer place than they were in the previous two days.
With what triggered the cardiac arrest still unknown, his parents are understandably looking for more reassurance. It comes after he was pictured arriving at hospital to visit his son and with the Daily Mail reporting that James had been extremely worried and "went into full dad mode" after the incident.

He was also said to be "scared and devastated" but it appears he is now feeling more optimistic after improvements in his condition.
"LeBron has no other feelings besides making sure his son will be OK," the source added. "LeBron's only focus is devoted to Bronny's recovery. It is going to be the only thing on his mind, he is in full dad mode and protecting his son in any way he can do that."
The terrifying incident took place in one of Bronny's early practices with his new collegiate teammates. He only committed to join the prestigious school earlier this summer.
He was said to have fallen unconscious and was taken to hospital by ambulance where he underwent treatment before it was announced he was in a stable condition.
A statement released on behalf of the James family said: "Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU.
"We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information. LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes."
