Mohamed Salah has been heavily linked with a big-money move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad and he is not the only big name superstar they are interested in.

Al-Ittihad have already signed the likes of Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante and Fabinho this summer and the spending is set to continue. And with the Saudi transfer window open for a week longer than the Premier League's, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is facing a nervous wait over the future of his star man.

When asked about the rumours ahead of Liverpool's game against Aston Villa this weekend, Klopp said: "The position remains the same. Absolutely no doubt about that. That's how it is. Nothing else to say. No offer as far as I know but that doesn't mean a lot to be honest."

The Telegraph state that Al-Ittihad are prepared to fork out £150m to sign Salah, but Liverpool have so far rebuffed their approaches. However, the report adds that Al-Ittihad may yet 'intensify their attempts to tempt Salah' to Saudi Arabia.

And should they be able to persuade Liverpool to let him leave, the Egyptian forward could find himself sharing a dressing room with rival Sergio Ramos. Ramos is currently without a club after leaving Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer.

According to reports, Al-Ittihad are set to meet with Ramos and his representatives to try and persuade him to make the move to Saudi Arabia. It is claimed the defender had been set to join Galatasaray, but Al-Ittihad are attempting to 'change his mind with a new huge proposal'.

If both Salah and Ramos end up as team-mates in Saudi Arabia, it would certainly make for an interesting dynamic given the pair's history. During the 2018 Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid, Salah was forced off early into the game after injuring his shoulder in a clash with Ramos.

As both players fell to the ground, Ramos locked his arm around Salah's shoulder. Salah left the pitch in tears with a dislocated shoulder and Liverpool were ultimately beaten 3-1 by Real. The injury also saw him miss Egypt's World Cup opener against Uruguay and he was furious with Ramos, branding the incident the "worst moment" of his career.

"I remember when I went off, it was the worst moment in my career," he said. "It was the worst thing to happen for a player. I knew the result from the hospital. We couldn't lose that way.

"I was really down at that time. We had a good season and came to the Champions League final and then I went off." And when asked if he had spoken to Ramos since the incident, he responded: "Oh no. I didn't speak to him and for me the subject is closed. I'm not talking about him now. I'm just talking about the injury."
