Jamie Foxx wants to focus on his mental and physical health after his mysterious health crisis that had him hospitalised in April.

It's been over four months since Jamie's daughter, Corrine Foxx, shared on social media that her father had experienced a "medical complication" on the set of Back in Action, his latest Netflix project. The actor and his loved ones have been keeping quiet on what the exact diagnosis was, but many believe it might have been a stroke. Sources say that he spent time at a rehab facility and received "round-the-clock" treatment.

After his health scare, Jamie seems to want to focus on his health and fitness. Sources say that Jamie wants to get chiseled and toned six-pack abs, so he's been adjusting his diet and working on a new fitness program.

"Jamie is grateful to be alive," someone close to the actor said, "He's out of shape, but he knows he can hardly go out weight-lifting or doing anything too strenuous right now." The source added: "He's being urged by pals and his doctors not to rush."

The Ray actor has been slowly returning to doing his typical routine before the hospitalisation. He was seen out with his girlfriend at Nobu in Malibu and went swimming with friends in Mexico while on holiday.

Noor Hibbert, a celebrity transformation coach, told The Mirror that this spark of motivation is typical for someone after a traumatic crisis. "When someone goes through a traumatic experience or a health scare, depending on who they are, it can often give them a revived sense of purpose, meaning, and a sense of really taking life by the balls and fully experiencing it," she said, "It's almost a determination to make life count as we often take it for granted."

She added: "By putting himself through something he enjoys and being able to immerse himself into something that gives him purpose and fulfillment is going to be much better for his recovery, as opposed to retracting back and living in a state of fear or stress."

Jamie took to Instagram in July to share an update with his fans about his health. He said he went to "hell and back" during his time in the hopital. "I went through something that I thought I would never, ever go through and I know a lot of people were waiting or wanted to hear updates, but to be honest with you, I just didn't want you to see me like that," he told viewers in an Instagram video.
