Coleen Rooney is now earning double her husband Wayne’s wages on the back of her Wagatha Christie victory in the High Court.

But her nemesis Rebekah Vardy isn’t exactly busting a gut to congratulate her on her new-found fortune as their row exploded into public again. Rebekah was ordered to pay her rival £1.5million’s court costs for their libel battle. And since then, the cash has kept rolling in for Coleen.

Not only has she signed a deal for a new Disney documentary, but she has an autobiography out at the end of the year, and is in talks with various fashion brands. It is estimated she could be earning up to £5m, which is double Wayne’s head coach salary at DC United.

A source said: “Coleen is very much the main breadwinner… she is in hot demand to say the least.” Revelations of her earning power comes as Rebekah blasted her for “not letting go” of their libel case in another furious rant. The 41-year-old dubbed Coleen boring and publicity seeking after her revealing interview with British Vogue magazine.

When a fan branded Rebekah jealous, she hit back, saying: “Jealous of what exactly! Spare me the pain seriously... I wouldn’t put up with my husband sleeping with hookers end of! No excuses.” The duelling duo’s spat started when Coleen accused Rebekah of leaking false stories to The Sun in 2019.

In her viral tweet she claimed to have set Leicester City striker Jamie’s wife up in a months-long sting operation. She told Vogue of it: “What I said in that post, I still stick by today. You see social media people calling people out in such nasty ways and I was thinking I wasn’t that nasty. I’ve never been in a legal case before so for me it was scary. What a horrible experience. The thing I was dreading the most was actually going to court.”

Coleen also detailed the High Court experience with Vardy, which was later turned into both a stage play and a two-part Channel 4 drama. She said: “It was so difficult in that courtroom, especially watching her on the stand. It was quite painful. I felt uneasy. Obviously she was going through it. I just thought, ‘Why have you put yourself in this position?’ It was not nice to watch.”

And Coleen said of Mrs Justice Steyn finding in her favour: “You can’t go wrong if you’re telling the truth.”
