Logan Paul has denied accusations he scammed fans with his project Cryptozoo after a three-part documentary series accused him of being involved in a multi-million dollar scam.

The YouTube star, who has made the move into boxing three times over the past few years, was the subject of a YouTube series by journalist Stephen 'Coffeezilla' Findeisen. The series was viewed over 16.2million times, and during the piece Findeisen alleges fans were ripped off for millions as part of Paul's failed Cryptocurrency game Cryptozoo.

Findeisen interviewed over a dozen alleged victims of the crypto game, which was never fully released and left those who bought NFTs that were supposed to be used to make money allegedly down thousands of dollars. And despite there being a number of seemingly bad actors involved in the project, the brunt of the public backlash landed on Paul, who never sold his tokens during the alleged "scam".

"Coffeezilla, I watched your three-part series called 'Investigating Logan Paul's biggest scam'," Paul said in a video on his YouTube channel last night. "Like many on this platform, you have successfully used my name for views and money. While your work used to be impartial, your addiction to clicks has clouded your judgment and you made very real errors with very real repercussions."

In the seven-minute video, which doesn't address most of the alleged victims' claims and ends in an advertisement for Cryptozoo's eventual release, Paul accuses the reporter of using nefarious methods to tell his story. He claimed that a recording used multiple times in the series of his manager Jeff Levin was illegally obtained, and questioned some of the sources he used in his investigation.

The YouTube star also claimed that Findeisen never reached out to him for comment, insisting that the first time he was directly contacted was on Christmas Eve, after the series had been released. He also shared screenshots of an email where he was invited on to the journalist's podcast, and insisted that if the pair are to talk that it be on his Impaulsive platform.

Findeisen has hit back at Paul's comments on Twitter, first writing: "Logan Paul responded. [Too Long, Didn't Watch]; 0 apologies, 0 addressing victims, 0 accountability. I will reply in full when I organise my thoughts, but for now, Logan accuses me of not reaching out to him directly until Dec 24, 2022... But doesn't mention I reached out over a year prior on Instagram."

He later added: "This is hardly important with all the insane lies on Logan Paul's new video... but did he really say he was going to SUE ME, and also say he'd love to host me on Impaulsive? LMAO [Laughing My A** Off] IT'S A TRAP!" In another tweet, he sarcastically quipped: "Fear not CryptoZoo holders, who spent millions in 2021. The basic game MIGHT be delivered in 2023/24!!!! and definitely not because I made a video series about it."

Paul ended his video by claiming that his legal team had stopped him from talking about a number of the allegations directly, seemingly threatening legal action against Findeisen, telling him "We're going to handle this ourselves while we continue to build CryptoZoo and I'll see you in court."
