A NEIGHBOUR who put up a handwritten sign moaning about their messy garden had everyone else commenting the same thing.

The resident in question put up the handmade sign after becoming fed up with cats defecating in their garden.

The sign, outside a house in Barrow upon Soar, near Loughborough, was uploaded to a Facebook group yesterday.

And viewers were in stitches as the comical notice directly pleads with the felines to use their own gardens instead.

The post shows a sign tied with string onto a garden gate in Pell Close.

Despite our furry friends being unable to read, it stated: "Cats: Appalling mess in my garden. Please use your own."

The viral post addressing the cats rather than the owners has been liked dozens of times and commented on by other local people.

As expected, residents were quick to crack jokes over the hilarious sign.

One person reassured the garden's owner: "I’ve had a chat with my cat, he send his apologies."

Another questioned whether the cats were necessarily to blame.

They wrote: "I always wonder how people know it's all cat or dog poo? Could be fox, hedgehog, human.... "

While a third added: "Makes me laugh every time I walk passed it."

"If it was a tiger you would have a bigger problem," joked a fourth.

Another user was left praying that the sign wasn't a wind-up, commenting: "Tell me this isn’t real."

It comes as one resident was left stunned after discovering a huge passive-aggressive sign made by their neighbour.

The sign said that people are "trash" and threatened to tow other cars.

While one homeowner was left fuming about a sign complaining about their dogs' barking.
