ARSENAL fans have been left stunned by an "absurd" goal their Under-21 side scored.

Lewis-Skelly picked up the ball in midfield and spotted the run of his team-mate in behind the defence.

He beautifully timed the perfect lofted pass into him and Nwaneri cleverly jumped to flick the ball over the goalkeeper's head and into the back of the net.

Fans were left raving over their two young talents, one said: "They are our future midfield pair in five to seven years time they will take over the mantle from Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Declan Rice."

Another reacted: "That touch was class."

A third commented: "Absurd finish. Look at the vision and execution of Lewis-Skelly and then the field awareness and touch of Nwaneri. These two are not real, never seen anything like this at this age."

The North Londoners' continued to show their class throughout the match as Khayon Edwards and Charles Sagoe Jr also got on the scoresheet.

The win saw Arsenal climb to third place in the Premier League 2 with three victories from four games.

Both Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri played vital roles in Arsenal's run in the FA Youth Cup last season before they eventually lost 5-1 to West Ham in the final.
