The new restaurant will open to the public at 11am on Monday.

But before then the Scottish Sun managed to get a sneak peek inside their first venture north of the Border.

The new restaurant hones in on a digital-first mantra using QR codes, online orders and interactive screens.

With a state of the art interior and a swanky new drive-thru the restaurant is sure to bring some Southern spirit to the area.

The chain is known for its 12-hour marinated chicken made fresh in store every day.

Their chicken burgers are specifically cooked to get their signature "shatter crunchin'" and simply paired with mayonnaise and pickles to great the world famous burger.

The drive-thru also introduces a new breakfast menu available from 8am until 11am with regular food served from 11am onwards.

And the car park even has QR codes at parking spaces to order online with the team bringing your order straight to the door.

Inside is a bright 56-seater restaurant decorated in purple, green and orange colours.

Customers order through interactive screens and can choose to collect their order or take a seat with a number.

The table number stands are picked up by sensors in the ceiling meaning the team knows where to bring your order for a top-tier table service experience.

And the Barrhead branch is the first of the UK's 21 restaurants to trial the scheme.

Staff at this Popeyes branch are expecting a big celebration when they open up shop.

Previous store openings have seen customers queue from the night before to be the first people in the branch.

On Monday, the first three cars and the first three pedestrians will win free chicken sandwiches for a year.

And the first 25 pedestrians and cars will get a free sandwich and some merchandise.

They are also running a 'Winner, winner, Chicken, Winner' for the chance to win some goodies.

To celebrate the opening, the team will also be on Argyl Street in Glasgow's city centre in a Mardi Gras inspired float with a giant QR code offering more chances to win.

Scotland's national piper will also be on board to blend the spirits of Scotland and Louisiana.

Neil Williamson, the company's COO, also hinted at future restaurants set to pop up in Scotland in the future.
