AFTER splitting up from their exes, celebrities have shown that there is only one direction they are heading - and that is forward.

Of course, it’s only natural to feel down in the dumps after parting ways with your former boyfriend or husband.

But it may be worth taking a leaf out of some A-list and reality stars with how to cope with a breakup.

Instead of getting down in the dumps, celebs including Kim Kardashian, Lottie Moss and Emily Ratajkowski all have jumped onto the same trend, ‘The Bummer.’

It’s where they share pictures of themselves with their behinds facing the camera, and their body’s facing the opposite direction.

It gives a sexy ‘belfie’ (butt-selfie) vibe to the image, and according to experts there is more to the picture that meets the eye.

The picture trend is when a person takes a picture and makes their bum the priority in the picture which is usually shared on their Instagram or social media.

And the meaning behind it? Well, according to experts it’s aimed towards their exes to tell them ‘look what you’re missing out on.’

Body Language expert Judi James says: “Underestimated for years, the bum has finally been recognised for the primary sex signal it is and celebs are taking full advantage with twerking, implants and these bum poses.

“The boobs are actually only viewed as a sexual signal and turn-on because they mimic the shape and cleavage of the bum.

“So after all the breast enhancements and boob poses, why not go round to the authentic site of attraction and turn-on?

“So the presentation of the bum in these poses shows the women’s sexual attraction qualities in a ‘look what you’re missing’ message.”

She has a string of ex husbands, but Kim Kardashian’s most recent split is from Kanye West after they filed for divorce in 2021 and were officially divorced in 2022.

Since then Kim, 42, has appeared to not let the split affect her by uploading stunning pictures of herself, plus The Bummer picture whilst she was on a beach.

Her sister, Khloe Kardashian, who is in an on and off relationship with the father of her two children Tristian Thompson, is also a big fan as she posted two recently.

Celebs go dating star Lottie Moss has also jumped onto the trend as she struggles with past relationships including former Love Island star Adam Collard.

The pair were said to be enjoying a romance between each other since meeting on the E4 reality series, but it’s been reported that things have been getting tense between them after he flirted with another woman.

Model Emily Ratajkowski, who split from her ex-husband Sebastian Bear-McClard, has since been open about her life as a newly single woman.

Previously speaking on Instagram, she said: “As someone who got married at 26, was separated for a little over a year, [now] I'm 32. I have to tell you, I don't think there's anything better.

“Being in your 20s, in the trenches.

“There's nothing better than being in your 30s; you're still hot, maybe having a bit of your own money, [you're] figuring out what you want to do with your life, everything.

“Having tried that married fantasy and realising, maybe it's not all it's cracked up to be. Then you've got your whole life still ahead of you.”

Other celebrities include TV presenter Carol Vorderman, singer Taylor Swift, former Love Islander star Danica Taylor, and singer Ashley Roberts.

Judi believes that these poses show signs of strength and a positive move forward.

She says: “The useful thing about the bum pose when it’s an ex you’re messaging is that it’s primarily a back view pose so it’s also a cheeky ‘goodbye’ too, often complete with an over-the-shoulder glance back to camera.

“And that’s the great thing about the bum.

“Not only is it symbolic as a source of sex, it can also provide a rude gesture too, which is why people moon to look rebellious and shocking, so a bit of a come-on and a V-sign all at once.

“These bums are also a status symbol.

“A round ‘peachy’ bum suggests youth and fitness. It might be easy to buy boob implants but the kind of perfect bums these women are showing off suggest they are something really special.”
