“I was trying to charge my phone and my charger wasn’t working.

"Right as Tony Montana gets shot, my cat got electrocuted, we think by the charger.

“You can’t really see it but that cat ripped me up.

"Honestly, I have two puncture wounds on my leg, on my belly and a massive scratch which I have loads of foundation on.”

Adele, who lives in Beverly Hills added: “That was my big thing this week. I am such an old woman.”

She said it . . .

"It used to be a big part of it. It was a challenge to me.

"But I’m embracing this right now. I’m walking out there with confidence.

"I just let go of so many of my fears. It’s such a great feeling.”

During an exclusive interview, she explained: “Getting things in perspective has definitely taken me longer than it should have.

"Self-image is not something that takes up space in my day.

“I’m designing clothes for the tour, every show is a different look, and I’m not doing it for self image, I’m doing it because it’s a creative outlet. I love it.

“I’m just less apologetic about ageing and so many things. I’m just loving where I’m at.

"I’ve never been more liberated in my thinking than now.”

HAPPY KYLIE PEOPLE

KYLIE MINOGUE has festival headlining down to a tee – as fellow performer Rick Astley paid tribute with a T-shirt bearing her face.

They were among the acts at Radio 2 in the park, in Leicester, where Kylie topped the bill last night in a blue PVC get-up.

Rick, resplendent in a peach-coloured suit over the Kylie tee, gushed backstage: “I’m 57 and know how fickle this business is.

"Unless you’re Kylie Minogue, you don’t have careers that last that long.”

Jessie Ware also went loud, in a yellow gown, as she delivered a stonking show just like she had the night before when she sang for the launch of the latest Strictly Come Dancing season.

Now Jessie, whose Leicester set you can watch back on iPlayer, has a taste for Strictly.

Asked backstage if she fancies taking part, she said: “Yeah.

"We are huge fans in our house so it was a massive deal to be singing on it.

"I felt like I was at a sparkly Lapland.”

Jessie, who had a collab with Kylie on 2021 hit Kiss Of Life, was hoping to catch up with her at the festival.

She said: “I’ll give her a cuddle.

"She’s taken over yet again and it’s so inspiring. She works so hard.”

Other acts lighting up the bill included Sam Ryder, Simply Red fronted by Mick Hucknall, disco favourites Shalamar and The Pretenders, led by Chrissie Hynde.
