A YOUNG boy saw members of an alleged witchcraft and child sex ring take turns sexually assaulting a girl while others watched, a court heard.

The lad recalled the “beep” of a timer to signal one alleged attacker was to stop and another to take over.

He recounted in an interview with investigators there had been “giggling and laughing” among those described as being involved.

He also told police he did not know who “organised” what was said to have occurred with the girl.

Seven men and four women are on trial facing an indictment listing a total of 32 charges alleged to have occurred in Glasgow between January 2010 and October 2020.

The city’s High Court were today also told the youngster claimed he was asked to deliver cocaine and heroin once a month by posting packages through letter boxes “six or seven times”.

The boy, who was eight at the time of the deliveries, said: “I was to supply drugs to people.

"He would give me a bag and I would give it to other people he had told me to give it to.”

Asked if he ever looked inside the bags he said he had not.

The interviewer asked how he knew they contained drugs, he said he “just found out” after hearing the man tell another accused, “I can’t believe he fell for me giving him drugs.”

He described a female accused laughed and replied: “You have fooled him good.”

On another occasion he recalled a woman making him sniff a “greyish powder” by rubbing it across his nose five or six times.

He told the court the woman said: “sniff this, it’s really nice”.

Asked how it made him feel he replied: “It made me feel weird and dizzy”.
