LOUIE McCarthy-Scarsbrook is hanging up his boots to achieve another burning ambition – becoming a fireman.
And St Helens boss Paul Wellens says things will certainly be quieter, and the language less blue.
The Cockney forward has won the lot – five Super League titles, a World Club Challenge and a Challenge Cup.
But once this season is over - with chances of a sixth title still high - he will take up a role with Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.
McCarthy-Scarsbrook, 37, will not start his training until June and becoming a fireman in the North West is definitely a better option than heading back down south to an office job.

He revealed: “I’ll go on a 15-week course and do that.
“I can’t see myself in an office, I don’t think anyone wants me in an office. So I’m going to try and be a fireman.
“I can’t take four kids down south, it’d be a nightmare to keep track of them. We’ll be staying up here I think.
“All my kids are born up here and it’s my home now and it’s where I see me staying for a long time.”
And Wellens highlighted one big difference his absence will make in the dressing room.

He said: “Louie’s language can be colourful at times but he’s probably the only person who can use profanities and it not come across as offensive.
“He can let the odd word slip out every now and then but he certainly doesn’t do it through any malice or intent.
“And he keeps banging the drum up here about Millwall. They got a beating by Leeds at the weekend, so he came in on Monday a bit disappointed.
“He’s probably the only Millwall fan knocking about up here but it’s not deterred him from banging their drum.
