FOOD delivery apps have made it easier than ever to order a takeaway or your supermarket essentials.
And using a few tricks, you can also save a little extra cash.

DISCOUNT DAYS: Just Eat and Deliveroo offer money off on selected days every week.
If you’re ordering food on a Tuesday, try Just Eat as the app gives 20 per cent off a range of selected restaurants, including Greggs, Zizzi, Krispy Kreme and Pret, as well as local independents.
From tongue scraping to saying no, here are 12 health trends to try in 2023If it’s a Thursday, you might be better off with Deliveroo, as customers can get 25 per cent off the bill with participating local eateries.
FRUIT AND VEG: Using takeaway apps needn’t mean loading up on junk food.
You can get 50 per cent off fresh ingredients for salads, smoothies and veggie dishes on Mondays via Uber Eats.
COMPARE FAVOURITES: Delivery apps run different promotions with individual chains — and the offers frequently change.
So before you go ahead and order from your usual food place, it’s worth doing a quick trawl of the deals available with each app.
For example, Just Eat is currently offering 20 per cent off Pizza Express’ whole menu until August 31 and 25 per cent off Papa Johns until August 27 — but both deals require a spend of at least £20.
Or you can get free delivery on groceries from Waitrose, Morrisons and Asda this bank holiday weekend with Deliveroo.
CASHBACK: Don’t forget you can get cashback on orders with the food delivery apps.
JamDoughnut is offering five per cent back on Just Eat orders, or four per cent on Uber Eats and Deliveroo.
Open and pay for your goodies with the app.
