SHE may be a body-confident presenter but when trolls skinny-shamed Vogue Williams, she was grateful that Marks & Spencer stepped in to defend her.

The 37-year-old last month posted a snap of herself in an M&S cossie on holiday in Spain, which the company shared with its two million followers.

But cruel bullies slammed the Irish model for being too thin, with some calling her “skin and bone” — to which the High Street chain responded that it “won’t tolerate negative comments”.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun on Sunday, Vogue said of her critics: “I didn’t say anything to them.

“I would never in a million years say anything negative to anyone online because I don’t know them.

“People aren’t kind. We went through a stage where everyone wanted to be kind to each other but now it’s not.

“Sometimes I read comments telling me I have put loads of weight on.

“The next day there might be different comments, like, ‘Oh, you are too slim’.

“My weight doesn’t really fluctuate. I don’t really diet but I train a lot.

“I love running, I feel really healthy and fit. I have a very healthy attitude towards food and training. Everyone’s body is different. If you look at my mum, she is kind of similar. It is the way I have always been.”

M&S asked its followers to be kind and to one another, and several of Vogue’s fans responded with the same message.

Vogue’s first brush with fame came in 2012, when she took part in Australia’s version of Strictly, Dancing With The Stars.

The following year she and then-husband Brian McFadden, formerly of pop band Westlife, took part in ITV dance contest Stepping Out, then in 2015 she won ITV survival contest Bear Grylls: Mission Survive.

Since then she has turned to presenting, with two years on Heart Radio before quitting to spend more time with her husband, Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews, 35, and their children Theodore, five, Gigi, three, and one-year-old Otto.

The couple love to socialise at their London home with the family, which includes Spencer’s brother James, husband of the Princess of Wales’s sister Pippa Middleton.

Yet despite her career and royal connections, down-to-earth Vogue admits she is shy and starstruck when she meets fellow celebrities.

She said: “I don’t go to too many events any more.

“But I saw Graham Norton at an event and I think he is the pinnacle.

“He is so amazing, such a great presenter, and is really funny.

“I was like, ‘Should I speak to him?’ and I just couldn’t do it.

“I would never go up to anyone — I am just too embarrassed.”

Vogue says she and Spencer — or Spenny, as she affectionately calls him — are the happiest they have ever been, despite claims that he had hooked up with OnlyFans model Lottie Moss at Jamie Laing’s wedding to fellow Made In Chelsea star Sophie Habboo in April.

Last month Lottie told The Sun on Sunday they only “partied” together, and in an exclusive interview Vogue insisted: “We are having a good time of it at the moment.

“We are in a really good position workwise and we are in a great place in our relationship.

“The kids are just brilliant.

“All my family are healthy and happy and I spend so much time with them.”

She added that she and Spencer work as a team, and explained: “I run the house but Spenny is really good if the kids wake up in the night. I don’t get back to sleep if I wake up, so if anyone wakes up he will always get up and sort them out.

“It’s nice to have someone who is so helpful and so involved. I am 100 per cent strict now with the work/family balance.

“Any spare time I get I like to spend with the kids. I love my job but it’s really important for me to be around them as much as I can.”

That teamwork includes the couple’s podcast, Spencer & Vogue.

In it they cover everything from how many times they have sex to bringing up their kids together, and they are about to bring it to the stage in a live UK tour.

Vogue said: “We enjoy working together and if we do ever argue, our arguments are about stupid things that don’t matter.

“I can’t wait to go on tour together. Besides my job, everything else is completely normal and chilled. We don’t do anything outrageously cool. I look at Leonardo DiCaprio and I’m like, ‘OMG, he is on another boat. His life must be so much fun’.

“But I’m sure he must do boring stuff too, like us. He must . . .”

Despite their settled and happy marriage, the couple have no plans for any more children — as she finds dealing with their three kids “really full-on”.

Vogue added: “Even on holiday in Spain, I wanted to spend all my time with them as I had been working so much, but I was absolutely knackered by the end of it.”

But if she does change her mind, the tarot card reader she sees regularly could help her.

Vogue revealed: “She told me I was pregnant with Gigi, even though I had done a test which said I wasn’t.

“I was frustrated that I wasn’t and the cards kept coming up saying I was. Then, a week later, I found out I was pregnant.

“She had said it was a girl and the doctors kept telling me it was a boy.”

Vogue’s latest job is hosting paranormal investigative TV series Spooked: Ireland, which begins its ten-episode run at 9pm this Friday on Really TV and Discovery+.

She joins US medium Chris Fleming, parapsychologist Evelyn Hollow and tech specialist Ryan O’Neill to examine the mysteries behind haunted locations.

Vogue has been fascinated by the paranormal since she was a child, but admits she was terrified during filming.

She said: “It was so scary and every time I went back to my hotel room I was on my own, and I was so petrified.

“I put the lights on, I put my ear plugs in and I got three hours’ sleep as I was so desperate to go home again. When I was a child I saw the outline of a woman on three separate occasions but she wasn’t there.

“One of the reasons why I said yes to this show was because I really wanted to see if there really are ghosts. I remain sceptical but there were a lot of things we couldn’t explain. It was kind of wild.”

In the first episode she visits Charleville Castle, a magnificent neo-gothic building in Tullamore, County Offaly, considered to be one of the most haunted houses in Ireland.

Vogue said: “The current owners believe they are being haunted by the spirit of a child who died after an accident.

“They told us they are always hearing giggles, and while we were there, Chris, one of our paranormal experts, got taken over by a spirit. It freaked him out and I was really frightened the whole time.”

There is talk of another series but Vogue admits she is unsure if she would like to do it.

She said: “I don’t know if my heart could take it. I loved doing it but I honestly felt really frightened every day.”
