Clubs in the Premier League only have a matter of days to get their summer transfer business done.

The transfer window closes at 11pm on Friday, September 1st. Clubs in the top-fight could still be very busy right up until the deadline.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are all scrambling around for late deals as they attempt to stage a title challenge, whilst reigning champions Manchester City could also spend even more. Elsewhere, clubs at the bottom could welcome more new faces as they attempt to fight off the threat of relegation.

Take a look at some of the players that could well be on the move over the coming days:

Matheus Nunes to Man City

With the Premier League champions left frustrated in their efforts to sign Lucas Paqueta from West Ham, City have turned their attention to Wolves star Matheus Nunes. Pep Guardiola's side have already seen an offer turned down for the Portuguese playmaker.

They have tabled a fresh £51.5m bid for the midfielder, with the ball now in Wolves’ court over whether to cash-in on the former Sporting Lisbon star. Guardiola has previously described Nunes as "one of the best players in the world" so would be delighted to get him in before the deadline.

Marc Cucurella to Man Utd

From one side of Manchester to the other now, the Red Devils are keen to add another left-back to their squad before the end of the window. After Luke Shaw ’s injury, their current options are very limited.

United have put together a three-man shortlist with Chelsea ’s £60m defender Marc Cucurella at the top. A tentative enquiry has already been lodged to the Blues but it remains to be seen whether Chelsea will let him leave for a direct rival.

Ryan Gravenberch to Man Utd

Along with a left-sided defender, United are also in the market for another central midfielder. Sofyan Amrabat has been heavily linked, but the Red Devils insist much of the speculation has come from the player's agent rather than themselves.

Ryan Gravenberch is another on their radar, with the Dutchman growing increasingly frustrated at warming the Bayern Munich bench. Erik ten Hag has worked with him previously and would be open to another reunion at Old Trafford.

Reports in Germany have suggested that a swap loan deal could be on the cards. Gravenberch would be making the move to Manchester, with academy graduate Scott McTominay potentially completing a switch in the opposite direction.

Harry Maguire to West Ham

The former Man United star looks unlikely to have a future at Old Trafford. He has been stripped of the club captaincy and has not yet played a minute this season.

He was previously linked with a move to West Ham - the Hammers having had a £30m bid for the defender accepted but a deal collapsed. However, a move to the London Stadium might be back on the cards after all. Talks have been reopened between the two clubs so a deal could well get over the line before the end of the window.

Dean Henderson to Crystal Palace

After being linked with a move to Nottingham Forest for the majority of the summer transfer window, it now appears that Dean Henderson is in line for a move elsewhere. The 26-year-old has undergone a medical with Crystal Palace ahead of a switch to Selhurst Park.

The move will bring to an end Henderson’s long spell at Old Trafford. Henderson was a substitute over the weekend during United’s 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest.

Joao Felix returning

Having spent last season on loan at Chelsea, Portuguese forward Joao Felix is a name well known to fans of the Premier League. He looks set to leave Atletico Madrid once again this summer, with a number of clubs linked with his services.

According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, the Reds are eyeing him as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian forward has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia and although Liverpool are adamant he won't be sold, speculation continues to mount.

Felix has also been linked with Aston Villa previously, as Unai Emery looks to build a side capable of competing on multiple front.

Brennan Johnson to Spurs

Following an impressive debut campaign in the Premier League, Nottingham Forest forward Brennan Johnson has plenty of suitors in his signature. Chelsea were initially interested in signing the Welshman after their attempts to sign Michael Olise ended in frustration.

After early talks took place between the Blues and Forest, Chelsea have decided not to pursue him as they do not want to spend £40m. That has opened the door to London rivals Tottenham who are also in discussions over a potential deal.

Wilfred Ndidi to Nottingham Forest

Whilst talks over a deal for Johnson are ongoing, it appears that Forest are intent on strengthening their squad further. It is suggested that they are keen on raiding East Midlands rivals Leicester for Wilfred Ndidi.

The Nigerian midfielder has been linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium following the Foxes’ relegation from the Premier League. He also has just a year remaining on his deal with Leicester.

Timothy Castagne to Fulham

With Ndidi potentially on the way out, Leicester could potentially lose another star before the end of the window. Belgian defender Timothy Castagne has yet to play a single minute of competitive football under new boss Enzo Maresca.

Reports in Belgium have suggested that Fulham are on the verge of signing him after reaching a £15m agreement with Leicester. The defender will undergo a medical at Craven Cottage before signing a four-year deal to seal a return to the Premier League.

Carlos Baleba to Brighton

After selling Moises Caicedo to Chelsea for a British record transfer fee, Brighton are still on the lookout for his natural successor. That man is thought to be Lille star Carlos Baleba.

The Seagulls are closing in on a £25m deal for the midfielder. The 19-year-old was left on the bench for Lille’s clash with Lorient at the weekend.

Beto to Everton

Everton ’s main problem over the opening weeks of the season has been an inability to find the back of the net. The Toffees have lost each of their opening three matches of the season without scoring a single goal.

They are pinning a lot of their hopes on Udinese striker Beto. Everton are set to pay around £30m to sign him over the closing days of the window after he underwent a medical on Merseyside.

Isaac Hayden to Luton

After two defeats from as many games during their first season in the Premier League, Luton are reportedly aiming to bolster their midfield options. Newcastle ’s Isaac Hayden is thought to lead their shortlist.

The two clubs have reportedly agreed a deal, with the former Arsenal trainee set to undergo a medical over the coming days.
