AN online grocery shopper was greeted by a sight for sore eyes — 22 bunches of spring onions she had not ordered.

Delilah Fernandes asked for £31.17 of fruit and veg for her detox diet.

She ordered from Asda via Uber Eats and the goods arrived via two drivers.

But items such as kale, spinach, cucumbers and grapefruit were missing — all replaced by onions.

The 40-year-old, of Feltham, West London, said: “I told the first guy he had the wrong order because I could see some onions hanging out the bag but he insisted it was for me.

“Somehow he knew the other driver had a load of onions for me too. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry — cry probably!”

The mum of one will eat some and give the rest to pals.

She was also sent cooked beetroot not raw, and wrongly-priced apples.

She told a Facebook page: “It is my first time using Uber Eats and I’m fuming.”

Delilah added: “The strange thing is, when I went to customer service at my local store the woman said, ‘Oh you’re the spring onions lady’. She’d read my post!”

Asda said Uber Eats had to explain.

The delivery firm did not immediately respond.
