EastEnders star Danielle Harold is at the centre of a heartbreaking storyline as Lola Pearce battles a terminal brain tumour.
In a picture posted to Instagram, Danielle looked worlds away from her Walford persona as she stared into the camera while sporting a black swimsuit with a plunging neckline.
Danielle's blonde wavy locks framed her face in the summery pic with the caption: "Take me back..."
Fans of the EastEnders star gushed over her stunning look as one wrote: "Absolutely gorgeous," and another said: "Definitely not on Albert Square set there."
"Fantastic pic. You are fantastic in EastEnders," a third remarked and someone else added: "So pretty omg."
Helen Flanagan battles to save NYE plans after 'poo explosion' in her carDanielle's brain tumour storyline has touched the hearts of EastEnders fans with Lola reuniting with her long-lost mum in emotional scenes earlier this week.
Lola was mortified when she discovered her client Emma (Patsy Kensit) was in fact her mum who she believed had abandoned her when she was a child.
Emma explained she was physically abused by Lola's father and was hospitalised on her daughter's third birthday. The estranged mum claimed she tried to find Lola when she was discharged but her daughter and partner had disappeared.
The terminally ill hairdresser refused to believe Emma at first but soon realised she was telling the truth and ran after her mum to convince her to stay in Walford.
"I'm here now and I'm not going to let you go," Emma told her daughter as the pair embraced.
Danielle's co-star Max Bowden, who plays Ben Mitchell, shared a sweet tribute to the actress on Instagram Stories.
Alongside a clip of the emotional moment between Lola and Emma, Max wrote: "This isn't just one of the best performances in soap history, this is one of the best performances in television history @danielle_harold is a masterclass."
EastEnders are working with Brain Tumour Research and Macmillan Cancer Support on Lola's storyline.
Speaking about her character's diagnosis, Danielle said: “It means so much to be trusted with a storyline like this – one that’s close to many people’s hearts. Sadly many of our viewers will be able to relate to Lola’s story and it’s been heart-breaking to speak to the families affected by brain tumours and hear their stories.
"They’ve been so amazing in sharing their experiences with me, and I’m so lucky to have them. I wouldn’t be able to do this storyline without their support.”
