Patsy O’Neill is a celebrity cosmetics guru, who’s worked with everyone from Holly Willoughby to Davina McCall and Sharon Osbourne.

And she recently shared insight into the products that she swears by to achieve glowing glam.

Writing on Holly’s Wylde Moon website, Patsy revealed that she loves the £40 Merit the Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick as a base.

The make-up maestro said: “When it comes to evening out skin tone, I always suggest a foundation stick, mainly because they’re quick and easy to use on-the-go.

“Unlike liquid foundations, they don’t drip and you can use as much or as little as you like, by layering up for a heavier coverage, or dabbing to hide blemishes or redness.”

According to Patsy, Merit’s product is a “staple”, because “it’s breathable and lasts well”.

But acknowledging that the product is a little out of most people’s budget, the beauty buff offered an affordable dupe that’s every bit as fab.

Patsy suggested that Revolution’s Fast Base Stick Foundation is also a great option, adding that it “comes in a huge range of colours” and is “great value for money”.

The formulation is a “little bit heavier”, she explains, “so if you want a lighter coverage, loosen it up with moisturiser”.

And the best bit is, it comes in at less than a tenth of the price of Merit’s one, priced at just £3.59.

That’s a whopping saving of £36.41 for a complexion that looks every bit as youthful and glowing.

And shoppers clearly agree that the budget buy is a great choice, with it racking up hundreds of five-star reviews on Boots’ website.

According to one shopper, the foundation “makes my face look radiant and clear”.
