Alisha Lehmann revealed an unlikely secret talent as the Aston Villa winger was quizzed on her impressive social media profile.

The 24-year-old Swiss international is the most followed women’s football in the world with a staggering legion of 16 million and counting. She became the first female athlete to collaborate with Prime, the energy drink promoted by Youtube stars KSI and Logan Paul, further swelling her considerable audience.

And Lehmann, partaking in the BBC’s new series Unlocked, shared insight into her personal life, hobbies and passions, which included a playful revelation of her secret talent: rapping.

After describing herself via a series of emojis (the pacey winger went with a traditional smiley face, a face donning sunglasses, a pink heart and a tube of lipstick to proudly underscore her “girly girl” nature), Lehmann was asked to disclose the most recent addition to her Notes App.

The forward’s gleeful embarrassment was immediate as she bashfully divulged that she and former Aston Villa team-mate Shania Hayles wrote a rap song together.

“My last note?” she asked through laughter. “Me and Shania [Hayles] - she played with me last season - we wrote a little rap song. But I can't show it,” she said. “It's unreleased. You will hear it when it's released.”

Nevertheless after some coaxing, Lehmann's original tight-lipped secrecy was cracked and she shared one line from the unreleased rap.

She prefaced: “I have a necklace right? It [says] ‘AL’,” before reading the line: “Strutting with my necklace on, it's AL baby that's my name." She added: “Sick isn't it?” Asked if she would release the album, Lehmann said: “No obviously [not] I'm a footballer!”

The 42-capped international revealed that she considers Brazil legend Ronaldo Nazario to be her most famous follower on Instagram. On the 2002 World Cup winner, Lehmann said: “One of the GOATs. But it's Instagram, it's not the real world.”

Lehmann was also grilled on her ‘best celebrity DM’, resulting in further laughter. She admitted there was a “whole list”, though this time the Swiss star didn’t indulge in any revelations.

“I don't have a best one. There's some good good ones but I can't tell you. It's impossible. It's too private I think.” Lehmann seized headlines when she revealed last month that Canadian rapper and singer Drake was one such celebrity DM. The R&B artist reached out to ask for a jersey.

Other DMs have been arguably less complementary. Lehmann claimed this month that a “well-known” A-list celebrity once offered £90,000 for a one-night stand.

“I was in Miami, my favourite place, and I met some friends at a club,” the player explained on the DirTea podcast. “I got a message on my mobile, which I didn't reply to, but the same person then messaged the bodyguard looking after me.”

“The texts came from a very well known person. We had previously bumped into one another at an event. The message said, ‘I will pay Alisha 100,000 Swiss francs (roughly $110,000) to spend a night with her.’”

Lehmann rejected the offer, teasingly querying the amount put forth. “But my answer was - no way! And just 100,000?" Lehmann added. “The crazy thing is that I still have his message on my phone. It is a bit stupid.”

Lehmann joined Villa in 2021 and in August extended her stay in the Midlands until 2026, with the option of a further year. This season she has made three appearances for Carla Ward’s side, who have yet to claim a point after four successive losses.
