JAMES Haskell has revealed his father-in-law Richard Madeley told him to “f**k off” during a bust-up on Boxing Day.
The former rugby player, 37, recalled the incident as he admitted Christmas was much better this year because Richard wasn’t cooking.
James Haskell opened up about his ChristmasJames said Richard can get very stressed in the kitchenJames, wife Chloe and daughter Bodhi spent the festive day with Richard and wife Judy.
Speaking on This Morning today, he told Andi Peters and Josie Gibson: "Christmas was good. This year he wasn’t allowed to cook because first time I met him I got invited over on Boxing Day. I was told he can be a little bit tricky in the kitchen, don’t go in there.
"Of course that was a red rag to a bull, son-in-law wanting to make a good impression.

"She said ‘oh don’t worry, he does that to everyone, he did that to Jamie Oliver.’"
James continued: "This year he was thrown out of the kitchen because we wanted it to be stress free and Chloe’s brother Dan cooked an absolute storm, very relaxing, we were looked after like royalty, it was amazing."
Chloe and James met in 2014 and got hitched during Christmas 2018.
They revealed they were having a baby on Chloe’s dad’s show Good Morning Britain.
James appeared on the show alongside Richard, who proudly shared a photo of Chloe's 12 week baby scan.
James previously spoke out about what a great grandparent Richard is, saying: "Do you remember the other night he came in and she wasn't settling and as soon as he started talking to her she settled like an absolute dream, I would say he is like the baby whisperer."
