Bobby Brazier, who is impressing audiences with his moves on Strictly Come Dancing, has shared a heartbreaking reason why he 'doesn't miss' his late mum Jade Goody.
The 20 year old EastEnders actor, partnered with Dianne Buswell for this year's competition, has been raised by his father, Jeff Brazier, alongside his younger brother, Freddie, after their mum, former Big Brother star Jade Goody, tragically passed away from cervical cancer in 2009, aged just 27.
Bobby was only five when his mum died and he revealed in an interview with The Face that he doesn't miss her because he feels he wasn't with her long enough. He said: "I don't feel like I was with her long enough to miss her."
He shared: "I miss what could've been. I hear all the time she was such a presence, that she was one of a kind. What hurts most is that it wasn't just losing anyone, it was losing Jade. I just would've loved to have seen what other people had seen."
Jade was a loving mum to Bobby and his younger brother, Freddie. She wanted her boys to remember how much she loved them after she was gone – so she left a touching final message in a photo album of her life. She wrote: "Dear Bobby and Freddie – I have asked for this book to be made so that when you are older you can remember just how much fun we had. I thank God that we made the most of our time together and I treasure the moments we shared.
What Ola and James Jordan really ate and did to shed 7st"These are my most precious memories. Some person much wiser than me once said that if you never discovered something you would die for, then you haven't lived. Well, you are both proof that I have lived. I will love you always. Mummy." Bobby shares a close bond with his TV presenter father, Jeff, who was seen on Saturday night's Strictly making Bobby dinner ahead of his latest performance on the show.
Doting dad Jeff has even been making packed lunches for Bobby and his partner, Dianne, to keep them fuelled during their gruelling training for the live shows on Saturdays. Bobby and Dianne have forged a close bond, with 34 year old Dianne taking on a sisterly role to 20 year old Bobby.
He was due to appear on Good Morning Britain this week, however, he had to say sorry as he joined the show via video call from the back of a car after oversleeping. He said: "'I'm sorry, guys. Forgive me." Bobby then made everyone laugh when he jokingly blamed Dianne for his tardiness. He said: "You didn't call me this morning. Usually she calls me."
Dianne responded by saying: "I do have to call him in the morning just to make sure he's out of bed and getting ready for his car. I was too busy getting myself out of bed this morning."
