Some lucky Sky users will now find they have some more content to interact with thanks to the release of a game-changing upgrade. The telly firm has just pushed out an update to its latest Sky Live devices that brings some extra entertainment to living rooms. For those not aware, Sky Live was introduced earlier this year and offers a new way to use the biggest screen in your home.

This diddy device sits on top of the telly and offers features such as fully interactive fitness classes, live video calls and something called Watch Together. Using the in-built camera this function allows you to view film, entertainment and sports with friends and family even if they are in different parts of the UK.

Another nice feature of Sky Live is gaming. At launch, this device came pre-installed with a number of titles and now, thanks to this latest upgrade, that catalogue of titles is getting a boost.

In fact, three brand new titles are now joining this platform including Stingray Karaoke, Peppa Pig : Jump and Giggle along with football title Go Keeper.

All of these games will be included at no extra cost and they are also fully playable without the need for any controllers. That’s thanks to Sky Live’s tracking tech which lets players use movement and gestures to interact with what’s on the screen.

Speaking about the update, Catherine Lees, Managing Director of TV at Sky said: “Characters like Peppa Pig bring so much joy to our youngest customers on TV, it’s brilliant we can now extend their fun with exciting, motion-controlled games on Sky Live.

"For the first time on the big screen, they can see themselves jumping in muddy puddles alongside their favourite friends! Peppa Pig is just one of many fun new experiences we’re bringing to Sky Live in time for Christmas - all powered by the Ents OS platform - so your TV can be more interactive, social, and entertaining than ever.”

It sounds like a fun change but not everyone can get it. That's because Sky Live is only compatible with the Sky Glass TV and no other products.

You also have to pay an extra £6 per month on top of existing contracts to access Live's features. None of that is cheap but to soften the blow Sky is currently offering a decent Sky Glass discount in its Black Friday sales.

In fact, you can now grab this all-in-one TV and soundbar for just £34 per month. Another bonus of this screen is there's no need for a dish stuck to your walls with this device using the web to beam content to its big screen.

It also comes in a number of colours and three different screen sizes.
